Description:
The most adventurous can attempt to see things from God’s perspective in a Hot Air Balloon. Early risers meet up with the friendly staff at Lake Tahoe Balloons and go for the ride of a lifetime over Lake Tahoe. The Hot Air Balloon climbs 8 to 10,000 m.s.l. and you can see for approximately 100 miles.
You will launch and land on the world's only USCG inspected vessel for balloon operation. Remember to bring your camera!

Vikingsholm Castle

Description:
Built in 1929 entirely of hand hewn wood & stone, Vikingsholm Castle consists of 39 lavishly furnished rooms, and tours are available through the summer season. Vikingsholm is one of the finest examples of Scandinavian architecture in the United states. Also built was a single room Tea House on the summit of Fannette Island. To get there from the campground: (12 miles) Parking available just north of Emerald Bay. The one mile trail is quite steep, but the views of Emerald Bay are extraordinary, and there are benches to sit and enjoy the view on the way.
Remember, the path down is always easier than the path back up!
