Directions from Sacramento:
      We are approximately 100 miles from Sacramento. Take Highway 80 East to Highway 50 - follow the signs to "South Lake Tahoe." Continue on 50 through Placerville which is one hour from Tahoe. We are 12 miles past "Strawberry Lodge," and about 6 miles past "Sierra at Tahoe" Ski area, Watch for the signs that say "Brake Check Area" as you come over Echo Summit entering into the Lake Tahoe Basin. We are three miles from the top of Echo Summit. Coming down the mountain it is real easy to drive right past us -- so watch for the National Forest sign - a brown and yellow sign that says "Lake Tahoe Basin". We are 1/2 mile past the sign.

Directions from Carson City / Minden:
      We are approximately 35 miles from Carson City. There are two options when coming from Carson City - through the Stateline Casinos or up over Luther Pass, which is my favorite since it's so pretty and less traveled (not to mention less steep of a pull).

Through Stateline: Take Highway 395 to Highway 50 and go up Spooner Summit. Go through the Stateline area past the Casinos. Stay on 50 and Follow the signs that say "Sacramento". (Hwy 50 turns left at the "Y" where you see Blockbuster Video) Continue on Hwy 50 past the Lake Tahoe Airport 3 miles, then though the town of "Meyers" and through an Agricultural Inspection Station. (If you have any fruit you bought outside of California eat it before you get there or they will take it!) From there you are 1/2 mile from us.Stay on Hwy 50! We are 1/8 mile past the sign that says "Markleeville", the third left over the Truckee River Bridge

From Carson City / Minden: (over Luther Pass: my favorite way) Take Hwy 395 South to Minden. In Minden, just past the Dairy Queen turn right on SR 88 (you'll see Douglas High School on the right). Stay on 88 through Woodfords (about 12 miles). Just past "Sorenson's Resort" turn right on 89 to Lake Tahoe. Take 89 about 12 miles to Hwy 50. Here's the important part - at the junction of 89 and 50. the sign will say "Lake Tahoe" to the right, but you DO THE OPPOSITE -- turn LEFT on Hwy 50, go over the Truckee River Bridge, and we are ON THE LEFT.
